Our Programs

PAST & FUTURE PROGRAMS
Here’s a sampling of some of the fun stuff we’ve offered in the past and are starting to offer again now partly with mask mandate and outdoors. Make sure you’re on our email list so you’ll be the first to know when these and other programs are scheduled!
We are focusing on free enrichment programs for children of all abilities and backgrounds in a safe environment. Before the pandemic we ran seven weekly programs, such as adaptive soccer, dance and gymnastics, PlayABILITY, interactive reading, movement, art and music, but due to the current situation, we are now providing a virtual Saturday morning program, offering a brief impulse of music, art, movement and storytelling and friendship fostering.
The current situation does offer new options to our minorities by attending virtual meetings all over the world, though we know that remoteness is not the same as meeting in person.

All programs are donation based.

Saturday, Inclusive Soccer

Inclusive soccer, led by Super Soccer Stars! ( ❤️our gratitude for this generous Stipend!)
We love the coaches at Super Soccer Stars!

They’re great at teaching the physical, social and mental fundamental skills of soccer and beyond in an extremely fun and engaging way. They’re pros at adapting to the needs and interests of each child and respond to different age challenges, which makes them an incredible enrichment for our POW! community.

“Our mission is to empower kids through soccer and sports by teaching them how to have fun while learning the fundamentals.
We use soccer to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork in a positive environment.”--        Super Soccer Stars

In the spring of 2020 we started meeting online as a way to stay connected with our friends from the POW community. An unexpected gift arrived: making new friends from all over the world! We enjoy our online program so much that we continue to do it, in addition to our in-person programs. We move, do art projects, listen actively to stories and sing along.  If you’re unable to join us for in-person programs, please join us over Zoom! But even if you are able to join us in person, we encourage you to also join us here!

New schedule: temporarily our zoom POW!-mini sessions are on freeze. We will update here once we offer it again. Looking forward to reconnect soon!
